6 Social Media Sites For Dogs

Last updated on June 5, 2018 By Puppy Leaks 11 Comments

Update: Pack is the only site on this list that still acts as a social media site for dogs. The rest have either closed completely or changed their focus.

Does your dog have a presence in social media? If not check out these sites dedicated to creating social networks for our dogs.

6 Social Media Sites For Dogs

I must be quite out of the loop because my dog Laika doesn’t have a decent social media presence. And when it comes to social media for dogs it’s not just Dogster anymore.

Pack Really nice first impression, sharp images and a sleek design.  On question 6 creating Laika’s profile I put in her weight at 750 lbs, apparently esc or delete doesn’t work here.  Nice looking site but after I published her profile I was sort of lost, I could continue to post more photos of her or just browse other peoples dogs.  Oh wait I created a pack, and a pack is just another photo.

Dogster Suprise – apparently Laika already had a profile here, I made it over 2 years ago.  She only has 32 views and one star, I don’t know what those are but I think those numbers are low.  Apparently I didn’t create a snazzy enough profile here.  She doeesn’t have any pup pals either.

Petbrags This site is pretty busy looking.  I went to search through some dog profiles and they were set to private.  I don’t want to try this one.

Uniteddogs This site looks promising but I can’t sign up;  When I go to the register page it just keeps reconnecting over and over again.   I tried signing up on another part of the site, still won’t work for me.  I tried.

Cuteness Wow this page has a lot going for it.  Pets have cuteness points, trophies, image galleries and followers.

Lovemypets Just a stab in the dark on this one – the 3rd headline is social networking – the first 2 are comparison shopping & pet supplies.  This one might be slightly more retail oriented.

For those who want to raise Laikas self esteem lets be petpals on Pack & Dogster

It seems like their front page is down at the moment. (I can still go to other areas of the site, such as Laika’s profile)

I thought it might be worth mentioning pawsr, a new social network for cats and dogs.

The best site was dogchannel.com. When someone new bought Dog Fancy they got rid of it. I still keep in touch with my dc friends. We call ourselves sisterfriends

I actually just wrote an email to packdog.com, since they haven’t been up for a while. I just asked them what their plans were for the domain/website. Will update when I get a response.

I like Yummypets a lot. There are practically no ads and it’s super fun to get to know the rest of the community! 🙂
