They really did such an amazing job with her photos – I love when rescues make sure to snap some really great shots that show a lot of detail and personality. I’m thinking that because her photos are so stunning she’ll be in a new home soon.
Oh how sweet. She sounds a lot like my Ace. I hope she finds her forever home very soon. She certainly deserves it. The seniors really get to me. I just feel so bad for them.

Something about grey muzzles gets me, too. They took such beautiful photos of her – I’m hoping she’ll be adopted quickly because of that.
Oh Last Chance Rescue. Not a fan of that one. I sure hope Tori finds a great home!
I’ve seen them a few times at the Brighton Pet Smart a few times and had a couple good chats with a few of the fosters; I will admit I haven’t worked with them so I don’t know many details about their policies.
My sister got a dog from them.
If there’s anything I should know about them feel free to let me know. I try to support local rescues but I will be honest I don’t know much about this one and there are a few others I didn’t feel comfortable promoting because of some weird policies.
How can I put this delicately…lol. I am not sure they make the best placements for the dogs. I understand trying to get them out of the shelter or the foster, but they don’t seem to do much screening. (Can’t believe I am saying that!…lol). Of course it was a few years ago and maybe they take a bit more time these days. I mean when you stumble on an adoption event and leave with the dog, it seems too fast. Shouldn’t there be a cooling off period or something? (It wasn’t just sis’s adoption either.)
I completely understand that now. I’ve seen a few of their dogs on petfinder for ages so I think I assumed that they did better screenings. Perhaps they’ve changed, but maybe not. Sometimes I’ve noticed it depends on the person reviewing the app as well. One of the other local rescues I don’t want to promote specializes in puppies and doesn’t do any screenings. Something about it rubs me the wrong way – just showing up with money and leaving with a puppy or two…
